Another compliance feature is the D-shaped carbon seatpost, and its integrated seat clamp contributes to the bike's sleek aesthetics, alongside the internal cable routing.

Ultegra, just one notch down from Shimano's flagship Dura-Ace components, is reliable and precise in its shifting and brings powerful braking in all conditions. The wide range of gears and mid-compact chainrings ensure steep hills are manageable. The bike rolls on strong, stiff wheels fitted with 25mm Vittoria Zaffiro Pro tyres, and there's clearance for 28mm tyres if you wish to go wider still to benefit from further improved comfort and smoother rolling.
