Like the standard Addict, the Addict eRide 10 is made with Scott’s HMX carbon fiber. This is the lightest material available and the same carbon that is used to create Scott’s tour level road bikes. HMX carbon ensures an incredibly lightweight ride despite its classification of an electric bike. The drive unit itself is lightweight as well, onto the hub, nearly invisibly from a distance. Overall, the bike comes in at less than 24 pounds, on par with some standard road bikes. Traditional riders who are hesitant to purchase an electric bike will love how lightweight and natural the Scott Addict eRide feels on the road.
The driving force behind the Scott Addict eRide 10 is its Mahle Ebikemotion X35+ Hub Motor. The motor can be controlled througha remote on the top tube or through an app on your smartphone. It has a 120km range on a full charge and offers three different modes. This gives you options from adding a little power to help get up a climb to keeping up with high level riders in your group on a sprint. This version of the Addict eRide is equipped with a Shimano Ultegra Di2 groupset for smooth electronic shifting at a reasonable price. With integrated cable routing and professional level components, the Scott Addict eRide 10 gives riders all the perks of a high level road bike in the form of an electric bike.
